Planting

Planting can add a new lease of life to your existing garden, or a great way to set the stage for a new, lush vision. Planting comes with a host of benefits for the liveability and longevity of your property, including wind shelter and soil stabilisation. We are able to source and plant natives, exotics, fruit and vegetable species suitable to Wellington’s climate and conditions. We have close relationships with both the Wellington suppliers and nurseries around the country for those hard to find specimens.

Planting

These can be freestanding or in-built, and are often easy to source pre-assembled and ready to go. If this is the type your after, all you need is somewhere level and with a comfortable seating arrangement and you're good to go, let us set the stage for you. Built in Gas Fireplaces require a bit more planning, and will need to meet building code and local authority requirements. Modern outdoor gas Fireplaces have the added benefits of temperature control and smokeless operation, but lack the feel good feeling of feeding a fire. Get in touch with us to learn more about the process for installing one of these beauties at your property.

Freestanding Concrete Fireplaces

This type of fireplace is a good option if you are looking for a statement piece, and imparts a robust timeless feel to a design. They usually come with engineering statements and provided they are placed within regulations for proximity in relation to boundary and structures, may not require consent. There are many options on the market, some of which arrive in modules and others which require a level of construction and finishing. Things to consider include access for delivery, foundation type and placement, proximity to boundaries and buildings, and materiality of the surrounding area, which needs to be fireproof in the immediate vincinity of the firebox.

Corten Steel Firebowls

This type of fireplace is perfect for using a space flexibly, and has the added benefit of being mobile - take it with you to the beach house for summer. They age beautifully and can lend an organic feel to whatever space they're placed in. The oxidising steel adds a sculpural quality to your landscape and can be matched with mounted wall art and other garden sculptures to create a theme. The colour pairs well with the verdant greens and textures of native grasses. There are options to include grills and hot plates for those who want to be able to cook too.

We have good relationships with suppliers and fabricators, so if you have an idea for something you'd like to create we can work with you to bring it to life.
